Naturist Association Thailand proudly presents our first ever Naked Yoga class in Thailand.
The morning session – starting at 8.00 – is meant for members who have some prior knowledge of yoga and are regularly practicing one or another form of yoga.
The afternoon session – starting at 17.00 – is meant for members who have never or only seldom practiced yoga or meditation and would like to take this opportunity to get an introduction.
Visiting yoga instructor, Dr Sabita Devi from India is highly experienced in several forms of yoga. She believes in the benefit of performing yoga naked and thinks naturism and yoga fit well together.
Yoga teachers in Thailand are invited to join the morning workshop and discuss naked yoga as a product like “hot yoga”.
Members who sign up for any of the two sessions may come any time during the day and stay as long as they have time for.
It is a Full Moon day in Thailand on Saturday 4 April and we will take the opportunity to enjoy a long night in the garden in the moonlight. For this party, the extra cost for food and drinks will be only what you order.
People practicing naked yoga for the first time often find it hard to concentrate and focus, the problem often disappears after 15 minutes giving way to a new experience. We also have to forget about our usual attitude to male erection and just allow them to happen if they happen.
Naturists know that most anything you do naked ads a dimension of increased mental awareness. Performing yoga naked is likely to be a mind blowing experience.
Experienced yoga practitioners say yoga naked multiplies the medical effects of other yoga types and is a great way of preventing heart disease, digestion problems; reducing stress and anxiety, improving the endocrine system and immunity.
In its purest form, nude yoga can totally unite the body, mind, and spirit, resulting in a state of joyful bliss.
Naked yoga (Sanskrit nagna yoga) is the practice of yoga without clothes. One of the Indian sects called Naga Sadhus made nudity a part of their spiritual practice.
In Europe, many took to practicing naked yoga at home and in nature under influence by the German Lebensform movement from 1880 to the start of the second world war. Later, naked yoga has been adopted by various other movements like the hippies.
Modern day naked yoga became famous when Aaron Star, owner of Hot Nude Yoga, began his version of nude yoga in April 2001 becoming an instant “underground sensation” as quoted by Time Out New York. Because of the success of Hot Nude Yoga, nude yoga groups began to blossom all over the world, from London, Moscow, Madrid to Sydney.
