Two years ago, we cut the green top off a pineapple and put it in a small bowl. It was decorative on the table.
Then it sent out roots and we planted it in a pot.
Today, two years later, we could harvest the first new little pineapple. The first from our own crop.
It was ripened yellow on the plant so we could taste it right away. I wish everybody in Europe could taste a fresh pineapple ripened on the plant and not in the container on the way to the market.
Every pineapple is 2 years old?!
